Virginia Tech women’s soccer lost 2-1 to No. 25 Louisville on Saturday night, Oct. 3, according to Virginia Tech Athletics’ announcement datelined Blacksburg. The loss left the Hokies with a 6-3-3 overall record and a 2-2-0 mark in Atlantic Coast Conference play, the announcement said.

Louisville scored first in the 67th minute, and Anna Weir equalized for Tech in the 82nd minute with her sixth goal of the season, according to Virginia Tech Athletics. The announcement said Louisville scored the winning goal in the final two minutes.

The Hokies were outshot 18-15, and goalkeeper Julianna Trujillo made six saves, matching her season high, the announcement said. Eliana Salama recorded her seventh assist of the season, according to Virginia Tech Athletics.

Tech is scheduled to visit SMU on Thursday, Oct. 8, at 7 p.m., the announcement said.
